Do Fractional Co2 Treatments Work?

  • April 22, 2016

We are all aging – as I sit here at my computer writing this I’m getting older. My skin is losing its elasticity, fine lines are continuing to form around my eyes, my skin’s coloration is getting more uneven and I don’t want to allow that to happen!

A Treatment to Help- Fractional Co2!

Lucky for all of us (not just us Estheticians!) there’s a treatment that can stop or slow down the aging process on our face, neck, chest and hands. It’s called Fractional Co2 Resurfacing and we’re experts at this treatment at Caddell’s! Anyone who has aging skin, wrinkles, certain types of scarring,  or irregular skin texture benefits from this anti-aging treatment.

Fractional Co2 Pre-Treatment Appointment

At your pre-treatment appointment you will need to let your technician know what medication you are on.  It’s not for women who are pregnant or anyone who has been treated with isotretinoin or Accutane within 6 months. It’s important to discuss any conditions with your technician at Caddell’s before your treatment to prevent complications.

Want to results with one treatment? Fractional Co2 Laser treatments are perfect.

What Happens During Fractional Co2 Treatment?

The Fractional Co2 Treatment is performed at our clinic and requires pre and post treatment. The treatment consists of removing layers of skin tissue in a fractionated method, removing columns of skin and leaving the surrounding skin intact to help with healing. Fractional Co2 Treatments help reduce age spots, wrinkles, fine lines, scarring, uneven skin color, skin sagging, irregular texture, dull/lifeless tone and the thinned collagen layer of the face, chest, neck and hands.

What are the Benefits?

The Fractional Co2 Laser treatment removes layers of skin tissue to help reduce "age spots” (AKA sun freckles and liver spots), scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture and color and the dull tone we all get as we age. Thinned collagen layers are also improved and continue to improve for up to 6 months following the procedure as long as you’re doing your part and following proper skincare and limiting sun exposure. Some of our clients have reported that optimal benefits aren’t seen until 6 – 9 months after treatment, depending on their age, their routine and history of smoking. It is the best single treatment for advanced skin damage.

What are the Risks?

It takes approximately 3 – 5 days for the skin to heal. During this downtime there will be significant redness, dryness, and peeling which makes keeping the skin moist after treatment very important. While this means that you will have to curtail social and work activities you certainly should be able to work from home. At Caddell’s Laser Clinic we provide a facial anesthesia so there should be minimal pain during or for several hours after the treatment. Following the post care instructions given to you by your technician are very important for optimal benefits.

If you want the freedom of having one treatment that helps reduce the major issues with aging then contact us here at Caddell’s for a free consultation! Renee would be happy to help schedule a convenient time for you! We hope to see you soon!
