What types of Chemical Skin Peels are used at Caddell's?

Glycolic:

There are many benefits of the Glycolic skin peel which is why it has become such a popular skin treatment. It is a short, safe procedure, there is no need for anesthesia or sedation; the patient will feel only a mild tingling or stinging sensation when the solution is applied. And the resulting radiant, healthier looking skin is sometimes achieved after a single treatment. The patient can immediately resume normal activities, no covering or after peel ointment is necessary, this procedure is also know as the "lunchtime peel."

Jessner Peel:

The Jessner Peel is also a mild peeling solution that can be used to lighten areas of hyperpigmentation and to treat aged sun damaged skin. It is a short, safe procedure, and there should be no need for anesthesia or sedation. The patient should stay out of direct sunlight for one week and should apply a thin coat of Petroleum Jelly daily to the treated area for four days. The patient should also avoid sunlight and wait one week before using Retin-A on the treated area.

TCA:

If more dramatic results are desired, the TCA peel is an excellent choice. It is especially effective in treating darker skinned patients. The TCA peel can possibly be used to achieve some effects of a deep peel, depending on the concentration and manner of application. Because the TCA is a deeper peel, it may require pre-treatment with the Glycolic peel or Retin-A creams, and a repeat treatment may be required. It may also result in 2-3 days of restricted activity.
