It is a colorless injectable gel made of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring sugar found in the body. Hyaluronic acid's role in the skin is to deliver nutrients, hydrate the skin by holding in water, and acts as a cushioning agent. As we age the results are facial lines and furrows. The appearance of deeper lines, furrows and soft acne scars are treatable through the use of dermal fillers to fill unwanted lines and depressions.
