Removal of Facial Capillaries, Milia and Skin Tags

Fine, visible veins appearing near the surface of the skin, often on the face and legs can successfully be removed with Electrocoagulation (EC). They tend to become larger over time, appearing in clusters on the skin. Exposure to the sun's ultra-violet rays, wind or extreme temperatures, steroid creams, hormonal changes during pregnancy and radiotherapy have all been recognized as causes of thread veins. It is very important to treat these as early as possible.

Electrocoagulation is the procedure where skin conditions can be reduced and/or permanently removed. In this procedure a fine needle is inserted into a blood vessel. A short wave or radio wave current is released to treat the vein under the skin with a tiny amount of heat and electric current.

Other successful procedures include the removal of skin tags and milia.

Milia are very common, benign, cysts that occur in persons of all ages. The laser has proven very successful in removing milia with very few treatments.

Skin tags are those annoying little pieces of skin that can itch and rub or catch on clothing, and become inflamed. They are often unattractive and serve as negative psychological connotations and daily reminders of aging. Treatment with the laser is a quick, effective way to remove skin tags.
